This department’s mandate is to oversee and manage social assistance to ensure basic needs are met.  It also oversees the following services:  Community advocacy, Outreach services, Free Store, Family Violence initiative, Daycare services, Youth Skills link training, summer student work experience program, Christmas stocking fund among countless other support services.  The funeral fund is also administered through this department.  A dedicated team of workers promote and support the wellness of community members both on and off reserve.
