Fire Department
Ian Larsen began as the Heiltsuk Fire Department Fire Chief in December 2023. A lot of changes have been happening in and around the Fire Department facilities; the fire fighters to have safe working conditions as they get ready for emergency calls.

The Fire Hall has policies have been implemented to keep the building in great overall condition. New equipment has been ordered for fire fighting. Ian is currently working on scheduling training for the fire fighters weekly , so we can develop muscle memory for when emergency calls come in. We can always rely on our training for the safety of the fire fighters and the community we serve.
The Heiltsuk Fire Department is heading in the right direction and we will continue to improve with training , procedures and policies to keep us moving in the right direction.
