Cook for Resource Lodge 

Heiltsuk Tribal Council is seeking applications for ONE FULL TIME Cook and one on call cook. This position is responsible for cooking and preparing meals for guests at the Resource Lodge and on occasion events for HTC, see attached. 

 

Employment Terms, Full-Time.

Wage $27.00 - $29.00 based on experience

Position Start Date, ASAP

Qatuwalas, Tourism Ambassador - Youth Position x2 Summer Employment (9 weeks)

This is a position supported by Canada Summer Jobs, eligible applicants between the ages of 15-30 are invited to apply.

Description

Under the Supervision of the Qatuwalas Supervisor, the Ambassador will participate in the day-to-day operations of the Qatuwalas. Welcoming guests to the building and sharing community information, leading local walking tours, and providing recommendations of local products and services. This position will also assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the building, and community. Community clean up duties are incorporated into the daily duties for the season.

Wage: $20 per hour / ​​​Hours: 30 hours per week

On Friday, May 17 at 4:30 pm, outside the Big House; the ending violence awareness program will be demonstrating preparing seaweed in the cedar box. And GIVING AWAY cedar racks and cedar boxes.

Wildfire training May 21st and 22nd ( 1.5 days of training )

 

After completion of training you, would be qualified to fight wildfires as a profession.
